This role is responsible for the preparation, analysis and submission of quarterly and annual surveys for external rating agencies and the US Bureau of Economic Analysis. This role also is responsible for the preparation of state regulatory requirements such as state examinations, state reporting, statutory regulatory mailings and other state regulatory requirements for all insurance entities under Bright House Financial.

 

 

  • Provides support to other members of the U.S. Statutory Reporting Group as needed.
  • Reports to the U.S. Statutory Reporting Director
  • Prepares Quarterly & Annual Survey Reports
  • Prepares Monthly State, NAIC and Rating Agency Reporting Forms
  • Supports the preparation of Quarterly and Annual Blue Book reports and U.S. Statutory Financial Statements and State Examinations
  • Responsible for various ad-hoc regulator/examiner requests

 


 

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance or a similar field of expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar field of expertise
  • Knowledge and experience in external reporting (e.g., standard reporting, ad hoc reporting, slice-and-dice and drill-down reporting) to perform detail analysis on financial statements to tell consolidated P&L and balance sheet stories
  • Knowledge and experience in external statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in working with general ledgers, industry reconciliation tools and Microsoft tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, PeopleSoft/Cubus (or similar general ledger application)
