Job Description

The Treasury Management division of Wells Fargo provides comprehensive financial solutions to business clients in every major industry. Clientele is composed of large multinational corporations, middle market companies, developers and investors (public and private) in the commercial real estate market, financial institutions, private equity firms, and government entities.

The Treasury Management Associate Program is a comprehensive, rotational program that provides broad exposure to various business segments of Treasury Management. The 12-month program focuses on practical hands-on learning and provides the opportunity to gain an understanding of Wells Fargo’s operations, business strategies, and corporate culture. Associates will perform a rotation in the following areas:

  • Sales
  • Implementation
  • Client Services
  • Product Management
  • Risk Management

Typical assignments include:

  • developing an implementation strategy for a new application or sales tool
  • developing and implementing strategies to increase cross- selling
  • developing and implementing staffing models and resource management tools for projects
  • manage projects associated with identifying alternate product solutions
  • assisting with a variety of technology initiatives
  • assisting with the business requirements associated applications

Migrating risk is one of our key business priorities and associates will be exposed to assignments in risk management to understand how we do business.

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

  • 1+ month of professional experience through internships, part-time, or full-time work
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong presentation skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree candidate with an expected graduation from December 2017 - May/June 2018
  • Keen interest in information technology and/or leveraging technology to improve business processes
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and team participation in college, extracurricular or work related environments
  • Proven track record for taking initiative
  • Demonstrated creativity and flexibility
  • Track record for success in academics and extracurricular activities
  • Strong interest in financial markets
Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
