Description: - Local Driver positions available! They will be supporting the Cardinal Health manufacturing business in Romulus, MI. We have a long term contract with this customer and therefore we are only looking for professional drivers with a dedication to safe and timely deliveries to be part of the TEAM on this rapidly growing account!

Route/Activity - Truck drivers are responsible for delivering product to customers. Complete vendor backhauls as directed. Routes average 6 stops per day delivering medical products to hospitals and smaller health centers. Will be responsible to make the delivery by pallet jack / hand cart into the customer to be offloaded.

Shift - Various shifts to cover vacations, and that shift will vary with times and days. Flexibility is a must. - Home Daily!

Equipment - 28', 35', 48' & 53' Dry Van Trailers, will also operate lift gates and pallet jacks.

Compensation - $18.26 per hour with a $2 increase after 1 year. $2,000 Sign on Bonus!

Responsibilities:
-Loading, unloading, or assisting in loading and unloading truck.
-Safe and reliable operation of assigned equipment.
-Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
-Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.
-Primary interface with the customer at point of delivery.

Qualifications:

Job Qualifications:
-At least 23 years of age
-CDL Class A license required
-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 5 years
-3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations/accidents
-Reliable and customer oriented
-Safety oriented
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.

The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
-The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
