Job Summary

This role will work alongside the rest of the web team to help expand, modernize and reimagine the web properties of Crowe Horwath. This role will also have opportunities for self-guided projects working for internal clients and helping to champion best practices for UI/UX within the organization. Types of projects may include supporting digital marketing initiatives, landing pages, e-communications, digital campaigns, and evolving the design of our content web sites. 


Using user insight, analytics, best practice, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions. A strong visual sense will be key to success in this role, it is a unique UX role in that the visual execution will at times be handled by the same individual.


Required Skills: 

  • Sketching, concept creation and wire-framing, producing sitemaps and user flows
  • Ability to help create prototypes
  • Strong sense of design thinking and an eye for aesthetics
  • Communicates clearly and often, but can work effectively independently
  • Ability to create low-fidelity wireframes and quickly iterate based on feedback
  • Able to synthesize multiple points of feedback into a thoughtful solution and response
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to execute on good user experience
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and responsive design
  • An understanding of front-end development frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and related tools
  • Able to work successfully in a collaborative work environment with a variable mix of managers, content strategists, developers, and other designers
  • Able to handle tight deadlines with multiple projects within a corporate environment

Preferred but not required:

  • Some experience working with content web sites selling professional services and/or software products
  • Experience with UX testing methodologies
  • Establish/Document UX pattern standards and design principles
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with Invision, Axure, or similar modern prototyping tools

Minimum Qualifications:


The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • 3-5 years of design experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred but not
  • Professional portfolio of design that demonstrates creativity and problem solving
