Oviedo Medical Center will be built on the same property where Oviedo ER, a freestanding emergency department that is a department of Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, is currently located. Oviedo ER will be expanded to 22 beds and will become the Oviedo Medical Center emergency department. In addition to 24/7 emergency care, the new 64-bed acute care hospital will bring a full range of healthcare services to east Seminole County and surrounding communities. Services will include medical and surgical inpatient units, intensive care, medical cardiology, telemetry, cardiac catheterization, inpatient and outpatient surgery, women's services including labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary services, comprehensive diagnostic imaging and physical, occupational and speech therapy. When it opens in 2017, Oviedo Medical Center is expected to serve more than 35,000 patients in its first year.
Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying high frequency sound waves for the purpose performing general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound to detect pathology. Operates the Ultrasound equipment, follows ACR protocols, and radiologists guidelines to produce diagnostic exams. Responsible for workflow including PACS to obtain a permanent record of the examination and assist in the daily operating of the Imaging Services Department. Uses sterile techniques with all procedures requiring it and assists the radiologist with procedures when a physician's presence is required. Position requires call.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
One (1) to three (3) years' experience required.
