Your Team At Philips Ultrasound Research & Development, software engineers and developers work on some of the most complex challenges in healthcare by utilizing skills in data structures, systems knowledge, algorithms, and object oriented programming. As a software engineer/developer at Philips, you are the bridge between abstract concepts and the technology products used daily to touch the lives millions of other people around the world. Some product highlights: EPIQ, Affiniti, CX50, HD15, ClearVue, Sparq, Blocker, and Lumify ultrasound systems. Your Challenge Working under the direction of a senior engineer, you will design, implement and/or test ultrasound software. These tasks will encompass a broad range of software development activities, providing you the opportunity to learn about successful deployment of the software components in an exciting customer-oriented engineering environment. Development will be completed in C++. What We Are Looking For • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering or related technical discipline • Experience programming in an object-oriented language such as C++ or Java • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems • Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges • Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking "outside the box" • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Collaborative/team spirit
