Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.
This position provides the opportunity to work directly with the Quality Control Global Network whose primary role is supporting Quality Control operations across the company.
Coaching, mentorship, and guidance will be provided to staff as they engage in the following responsibilities:
Works directly with Manager and sites to gather strategic information around what the QC Global Network can do to better serve the sites
Work directly with the sites to gain electronic system awareness to assess what challenges exist globally and work to develop a strategic plan to address
Assist with user testing of new electronic systems being brought to the network
Assist with the development of an equipment life cycle program
Ensures adherence to cGMP practices and Amgen Standards
Ensures that documentation aligns with procedural and template requirements
Supports senior management and senior specialists to ensure quality and compliance of our documents
Completes required assigned training to permit execution of required tasks
Supports continual improvement initiatives, programs and projects
Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
Enrolled in a full time Bachelor's or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications
Degree concentration(s) in Business, Life Sciences, or Engineering
GPA 3.5 or higher
Proven leadership experience (e.g., projects, jobs, clubs, organizations, sports, etc.)
Knowledge of MS Office Applications (Visio, Word, Excel)
Experience with SharePoint
Technical Writing
