Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation. Limited relocation housing and/or transportation allowance may be available for eligible candidates.
This position provides the opportunity to work directly with Quality and Manufacturing staff supporting bulk drug substance operations within Quality Management Systems.
Coaching, mentorship, and guidance will be provided to staff as they engage in the following responsibilities:
Partner with instructional designers & Process Development to conduct a pilot for work instructions
Apply performance analysis tools and methodology
Partners with other interns reporting into the Quality Management Systems group to re-classify document hierarchy and improve training process
Update SharePoint website with new/revised documents and/ or content
Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
Enrolled in a full time Bachelor's or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications
Degree concentration(s) in Business, Life Sciences, Psychology, Education or Engineering
GPA 3.5 or higher
Proven leadership experience (e.g., projects, jobs, clubs, organizations, sports, etc.)
Knowledge of MS Office Applications (Visio, Word, Excel)
Experience with SharePoint
Technical Writing
Customer service
Strong organizational skills
Exposure to project management
Exposure to data entry
