Schedule: 1.0 (40 hours per week), Shift: Days with Mixed 7-10 hours with weekends rotate.

Coordinates total nursing care for patients, the patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric. Promotes patient throughput and provides leadership by working cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Participates in organizational and unit based quality improvement activities. This person assist with the implementation of the vision, mission, philosophy, evidence based practice, and standards in assigned areas. He/She role models leadership development, policy development, and decision-making among staff. The unit supervisor also provides continued guidance and direction to new employees. He/she works collaboratively with the manager/director and staff. He/she provides input on standards of care, supplies and equipment to nursing manager/director and the entire leadership team.
Minimum: CA RN, BCLS, ACLS
Preferred: BSN, MSN or equivalent degree
Minimum: Two to four years of emergency nursing or equivalent clinical experience (critical care).
Demonstrated progressive leadership or clinical ladder roles/positions within the past 5 years.
Preferred: Five years leadership (include charge RN roles) in the emergency department or critical care environment.
Previous managerial experience

Minimum: High School Graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Preferred: BSN, MSN or equivalent degree

Minimum: Ability to use critical thinking skills and prioritize aspects of daily activity of patient care; possesses good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to engage staff to participate in the hospitals mission, vision and values. Ability to assess, document, and provide care in the environment assigned.
Calculate medication dosages and safely administer medications within the critical care setting.
