This position requires following instruction of team leaders, standard safety procedures, and dependability. Begins with general labor welding- will be subject to welding demonstration during interview. Applicants should show up with welding PPE including steel toe safety shoes.
BUSINESS
• This is a WELDING/FABRICATION position- trade school degree and 2 years practical working knowledge are preferred. Associated experience in body shops as related to welding and painting also considered.
• Ability and/or willingness to learn MIG welding and fabricating- working with mild steel, galvanized, aluminum, and stainless steel. Ability and willingness to complete ASME testing certification
• Expect to meet deadlines and perform to company standards and safety protocols.
• This job will require keeping the shop clean, including using the fork lift to take trash to the dumpster.
• Also to include general shop maintenance such as inspecting extension cords, replacing air lines- general maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Follow all safety requirements
• Must be able to remain standing (work) on concrete floor upwards of 10 hours per day
• Must be dependable, motivated and accountable
• Must be able to wear a respirator and/or dust mask

• Interact in a professional manner with customers, vendors and co-workers at all levels of business
• Ability to make decision in a professional business manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse at all times

• Know, follow and promote all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participate in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
• Maintain adequate personal tooling to perform assigned tasks.

• Respond to all customer requests courteously and professionally, in a timely and responsive manner.
• Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all times, meeting all Company standards for professional appearance.

• Stay apprised of new techniques relevant to the work being performed; achieve and maintain technical competency.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Due to the manufacturing nature of this opening, all applicants must be 18 years of age
• This is a WELDING/FABRICATION position- expect to meet deadlines and perform to company standards and safety protocols.
• Ability and/or willingness to learn MIG welding and fabricating- working with mild steel, galvanized, aluminum, and stainless steel
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Cutting and handling of sheet metal and galvanized perforated steel
• Follow ALL safety requirements
• Cutting and handling of various types of insulation
• Must be able to remain standing (work) on concrete floor upwards of 10 hours per day
• Must be dependable, motivated and accountable to expected deadlines
• Must be able to wear a respirator and/or dust mask
• Must be comfortable working on ladders, scaffolds or scissor lift
• Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays when required.
