This position requires a person able to follow manufacturing processes and procedures in order to comply with the company objectives on the different areas of responsibilities:
What do you get to do in this position?
  • On a Production basis, performs electro-mechanical assembly work of medium complexity. Position requires a moderate level of dexterity and manipulative skill, facility with a wide range of manual and pneumatic hand tools as well as simple test equipment.
  • Assignment typically involves a wide variety of operations in a repetitive work cycle, but the cycle of repetition may be short enough to allow the development of some habit patterns. May also perform some rework of production items.
  • Must be able to work from wiring diagrams, detail blue prints or other input documents of similar complexity with minor supervision.
  • Must be able to work with parts or components which require special care in handling or other procedures that require a specialized approach.

Qualifications:
This job might be for you if:
Education:
  1. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency.
Experience:
  1. 1 - 2 years electro-mechanical or electronic assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills / Characteristics necessary to perform essential functions:
  1. Work instructions and manufacturing documents.
    1. Ability to read and understand written instructions, including production and inspection materials.

Communication skills.
  1. Ability to read, speak, write and communicate in English.
  2. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
Physical Demands:
  • Position requires a high level of dexterity and manipulative skill, facility with a wide range of manual and pneumatic hand tools as well as simple test equipment.
  • Position will require lifting, carrying, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and/or squatting and holding in place parts weighting up to 40 lbs repeatedly over work period.
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust and a limited exposure to fumes and odors.
  • Be able to occasionally handle, as required, both hazardous and non-hazardous waste in a safe manner and in compliance with local, state, and federal ordinances.
  • Be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Be able to work occasional overtime during the week and on Saturday on short notice.
  • Able to stand continuously for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to regularly ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs through the course of the day.
