US IT supports and develops internal systems and applications for use by PwC staff in all areas of the Firm.
The Technical Design Authority, TDA, function is responsible driving alignment of US and UK technology for applications and infrastructure by focusing on road mapping technologies, project design review, and project audit to ensure that the service provider is implementing projects and deliverables in accordance with the architecture standards.
The developer teams are responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of business application systems. The developers are responsible for all parts of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including gathering requirements, writing code and unit tests, documenting and deploying working software, and supporting applications.ÂPosition/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 2
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED
Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree
Demonstrates thorough technical knowledge in various technical domains of application development and thorough understanding of development methodologies and the full Software Development Life Cycle of applications.
Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas of application development:
-Working independently and efficiently to solve business problems
through Agile/sprint software deliveries;
-Interpreting requirements and technical designs, writing code, unit testing, documenting, and supporting the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of applications;
-Communicating with, taking direction from, and providing frequent feedback to technical leads;
-Working collaboratively with other developers, including participating in code reviews;
-Implementing business solutions using one or more of the following technologies: Modern web application development (e.g. AngularJS, NodeJS, Python, CSS), Mobile application development (e.g. iOS, Swift, Android, Java, Apache Cordova, PhoneGap), NoSQL databases (e.g. DocumentDB, Cloud Datastore, MongoDB), API management (e.g. Azure API Management, Google Cloud Endpoints), Continuous integration/continuous deployment (e.g. Git, Jenkins, TFS), and Scripting and Automation (e.g. Bash, Powershell, Google Apps Script); and,
both verbally and written
with project team members.
