EPM Product Design:
Senior User Experience Designer, EPM
Our EPM UX team provides product design leadership for Oracle's Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) cloud solutions. Core to our EPM solution are industry leading financial applications for enterprise budgeting, planning, consolidation and reporting, all presented within a suite based experience. Building on our successes in this area, and as we move more solutions to the cloud, our EPM UX team is working closely with development, product management, users and other stakeholders to widen Oracle EPM's footprint within the enterprise and make using it as delightful and usable as it is functional and powerful.
Oracle is already a leader in EPM and Business Intelligence (BI); with the explosion of available data sources, giant leaps in performance with Oracle eXalytics In-Memory Machine, new visualizations and the convergence of mobile devices, social networking, and the Internet, businesses and users alike are looking for a quantum leap in the ways in which they understand, engage with, and act upon business data.
Business users are also demanding an experience from their enterprise systems that is a kin to what they have with their consumer applications. A fundamental shift in the way we present enterprise software to our users is required to meet this demand. We are looking for those rare individuals who can help us bridge the gap between consumer and enterprise software design, and help us solidify our leadership position in this space.
Looking for a career change? Looking for stability and career progression? Looking to help reshape the ways in which people think about user experiences in enterprise software? You have come to the right place. Oracle is actively looking for user experience and visual designers to join our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) UX team in the SF Bay area, Stamford, CT, and Burlington, MA.
We are actively seeking talented user experience and visual designers who possess the skills and desire to revolutionize the ways in which businesses interact with data to manage their financial and operational performance.
Designers working in the EPM space have seen a rapid growth in use cases for more tightly integrated data visualizations, collaboration capabilities, mobile data access, and more all-around consumer-like user experiences. The designers we're looking for realize that studying new interactive experiences from a distance does not yield the depth of understanding provided by actively seeking out and living those experiences. They realize that inspiration for next- generation business software experiences will not come from business software, but instead from videogames, interactive art and advertising, and creative content production.
The ideal candidate's dream job is working with a small team to design experiences which work well, look good, and help people do their work better. We are looking for those rare individuals who possess both the technical and business aptitude to design powerful, elegant, and delightful solutions for this complex space.
In this role, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the definition, design and evaluation of the software tools that implement, manage and maintain Oracle BI/EPM implementations. You will produce concept sketches, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups and prototypes. In addition you may develop user profiles, provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, and may assist in developing and implementing design concepts.
