We are seeking a Project Manager within the Brighthouse Financial Experience Design Team in Charlotte, NC.  This role will play a critical role in the execution of key projects.  The Project Manager will oversee projects from development to deployment, partnering with stakeholders to estimate a job, helping to develop business requirements and remaining engaged through the entire project.


Annuities and Life Insurance producers and consumers are rapidly adopting online & mobile tools to learn about financial products and solutions. Those interactions often span multiple communications channels (email, web, mobile, social, print and direct contact), across devices and locations.


The User Experience (UX) team is responsible for the end to end design & creation of online experiences for customers and advisors including but not limited to, websites, interactive sales tools, and mobile solutions.  As part of this team, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing a variety of projects from inception to completion.  We are looking for someone who has a strong base in managing digital projects, is excellent in communicating with key business partners and stakeholders and is extremely well organized.



  • Owns and facilitates the creation of project plans with clearly defined milestones, deliverables and tasks, and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Day to day management of the project from initiation through implementation and deployment.
  • Works with business partners to develop the scopes of work based on functional and business requirements.
  • Alert team if a project strays out of the originally set parameters.
  • Collaborates with the team to identify and analyze risks and determine mitigation plans.
  • Drives toward successful completion of the agreed-upon project deliverables within scope, time and budget while meeting the highest quality standards.
  • Ensures continuous stakeholder alignment between internal and external partners.
  • Champions and consistently improves and shares project management processes, standards, templates and best practices.
  • Create, manage and track project documentation such as:  detailed project plans, budget, resource plans, status reports, risks/issues, etc. 
  • Responsible for resource allocation in conjunction with the User Experience Director. Identifies production resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Set up and run all necessary key touch-point meetings in the process.
  • Keep Director of User Experience aware of progress on each project and raise any concerns as quickly as possible.
  • Provide regular written and verbal communication to various audiences throughout the lifecycle of the project. 
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and staff to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within scope & budget. 


  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Communications or any other related field of expertise.  
  • 1-3 years in project management role, digital marketing related field a plus
  • Understands web & mobile development process & systems, Agile development, prototyping, user experience design and visual design
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills
