We are seeking a User Experience (UX) Strategist within the Brighthouse Financial Experience Design Team in Charlotte, NC.  This role serves as a unique hybrid of business and technical consultant with the ability to operate as a business analyist, project manager and digital technology lead.   The UX Strategist will be responsible for defining, validating and shaping the definition and direction of a specific project or solution.  Acting as a change agent within our organization, this person will be charged with translating business issues and opportunities into technical solutions. 


Annuities and Life Insurance producers and consumers are rapidly adopting online & mobile tools to learn about financial products and solutions. Those interactions often span multiple communications channels (email, web, mobile, social, print and direct contact), across devices and locations.


The User Experience (UX) team is responsible for the end to end design & creation of online experiences for customers and advisors including but not limited to, websites, interactive sales tools, and mobile solutions.  As part of this team, the UX Strategist must be able to display thought leadership, technical prowess and the ability to manage cross-division, cross-functional teams from project inception to completion.



  • Responsible for gathering business, marketing and technical requirements in order to craft a comprehensive and scalable solution that meets our user’s needs.
  • Design an information structure that is centered around user needs, aligned with business goals, and is technically feasible
  • Drive technology planning activities to deliver impactful business solutions and ensuring solutions are aligned to enterprise business and IT objectives
  • Analyze relationships between information/data in order to structure content effectively
  • Demonstrate technical expertise while scoping and driving the creation of digital solutions
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to maintain effective relationships
  • Use performance data to continuously identify improvement opportunities
  • Stay abreast of industry technology innovations, new business practices and third-party technology solutions.
  • Make recommendations to aid the team’s workflow which may include the development of internal tools



  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years experience in Marketing, Technology and/or experience design
  • Experience managing agile projects
  • Broad business, technical and digital marketing industry knowledge.
  • Thorough knowledge of of project planning , development and delivery best practices
  • Experience establishing, maintaining  or auditing project deliverables.
  • Ability to work with people from different disciplines and backgrounds who have varying degrees of technical knowledge
  • Extremely organized and able to manage multiple deadlines
