Adecco Engineering and Technology is currently recruiting an UX/UI Prototyper. This will be a 6+ month contract located in Palo Alto. As a prototyper on the Nest UX/UI Design team, you'll be responsible for quickly bringing concepts to life in app and device UX. We seek individuals whose primary medium is code but who think like designers, always looking to make the experience more functional, efficient, and delightful. In addition, you will be expected to share technical ideas and approaches with the larger engineering teams to help see innovative ideas through to launch.
Strategize, brainstorm and define approaches that optimize implementations of designs
Rapidly iterate on the development of prototype based on input from various sources
Participate in scrums and engineering workflow
Ensure delivery of designs and prototypes are appropriate for the engineering team
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Build and test concepts for validation
Facilitate quick test prototypes and long-term maintainable code
Partner with designers, engineers and other prototypers across the company
BA/BS in Design or related discipline
5+ years work experience as a software engineer
3+ yrs of experience in developing either native Android or iOS applications
5+ years experience with core production tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, After Effects)
3+ years of Raspberry Pi, Arduino and 3-D prototyping experience
Focus on front end, pixel perfect, code
Comfortable with rapid development cycles and tight schedules
Great design sense, loves solving complex problems, and can clearly translate design ideas into engineering solutions
