This role manages value assurance across complex cross-departmental or enterprise wide projects, programs, and portfolios in MetLife’s Enterprise Application Development division. This role oversees the value-assurance functions for highly complex projects, programs, and portfolios and provides recommendations on how to improve the delivery of value and decrease its cost. 

 

  • Position will work together with the project and business teams to ensure the ultimate success of the initiative- interfaces with all areas affected by the project including all key stakeholders and vendors, communicates with senior management regarding recommendations when needed.
  • Ensures projects are organized to achieve minimum viable product with clear governance and assigned benefits.
  • Engages project management counterparts, customers and project stakeholders to ensure continued alignment with project objectives. Implements value assurance recommendations through direct action or escalation when necessary. Improves team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, and training and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure efficiency and boost morale.
  • Leverages industry expertise to develop and implement program guidance, templates, and tools.
  • Operates as an internal consultant directing the work of all levels of management and acts as an internal consultant to provide guidance to project staff.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication, strong PowerPoint skills, entrepreneurial with a mindset for continual improvement
  • 10+ years broad experience in Information Technology, Finance, or Consulting with 8-10 years project and program management experience
  • Any of the following are nice to have: PMP, Master's degree (MS, MA, MBA, etc.), background in management consulting, Clarity PPM, Scrum master experience and/or certification (CSPO, CSM)
