As our new Vice President, Commercial Pricing & Strategy you will:
Provide leadership to the GE Digital Global Sales organization. Lead a cross-functional team of finance, commercial operations, channels and product managers to understand market dynamics, business performance, and devise effective pricing strategies and tactics.
The role will directly support the GE Digital Chief Commercial Operations Officer and partner with the GE Digital Commercial Excellence and Marketing teams to drive pricing standardization, define pricing guardrails and enable pricing process simplification for quick ITO turnaround and achievement of GE Digital's orders, revenue, and contribution margin goals.
+ Lead Digital's pricing center of excellence to support strategic pricing decisions.
+ Act as the link between the Execution and Steering committee, identify the pricing implications of the decisions/strategy set by SLT
+ Evaluate and prioritize pricing issues escalated by the functions
+ Understand the impact of pricing strategies and any related changes to functions.
+ Participate in product management portfolio decisions.
+ Drive creation of product portfolio and bundling strategies
+ Drive simplification and automation of pricing processes to improve overall Inquiry to Order Process.
+ Anticipate and adapt to different customer negotiation approaches, strategically taking into account the interest of the customer and internal stakeholders.
+ Applies lessons learned from previous contracting wins and losses.
+ Drive compliant competitive analysis that provides an understanding of how GE's price and offering compares to others; integrate with win-loss analysis
+ Manage list pricing structure and define discounting parameters and thresholds for GE Digital's products and offerings
+ Analyze Product level targets for the Commercial Sales team to drive a strong balance between price & volume
+ Track and drive profitability analysis based on pricing strategies and decisions
+ Identify offerings that fit customers' needs and successfully close complex negotiations. Has domain expertise in customer & competitors' value propositions; establishes market for products as needed.
+ Lead GE's pricing strategy
+ Understand the critical factors and realities that establish a market for products and services and identifies new markets
+ Continually monitor industry dynamics and trends, and anticipates how those trends will impact both GE and customer's profitability. Cultivates a culture that proactively uses data to drive growth.
+ Can lead and support a deal team to win.
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or at least 12 years of experience in Software Pricing or related function
+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
+ Must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
+ Confidence and proven ability to influence and work across multiple key stakeholders
+ Solid Analytical Skills
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve quality results
+ Experience in software pricing strategy and execution
+ Masters degree in Finance or a related discipline
+ Strong interpersonal & analytic skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
