Job Description:
Reporting to the Division Chief Nurse Executive, the VP Patient Experience is responsible for the implementation and sustainability of patient satisfaction initiatives to improve patient experience across the division in alignment with the strategic and operational objectives of the division and the Chief Patient Experience Officer.

Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure effective and efficient deployment of patient experience standards, processes, and initiatives
  • Develop division strategic plan for advancing patient experience that aligns with the enterprise framework
  • Provide feedback to corporate shared service on division-based patient experience needs (e.g., specific training modules)
  • Shape corporate strategy by providing data-driven feedback on needed interventions or workshops
  • Utilize evidenced based practices including but not limited to Nurse Leader Rounding, Employee Rounding, Senior Leader Rounding, Standards of Behavior, Peer Interviewing, etc.
  • Coordinate or provide directly, training classes or other programs to ensure new and existing staff have proper tools and preparation to perform daily tasks and duties
  • Engage with individual facilities to identify unique concerns and assist with development of action plans
  • Provide support and direction with regards to obtaining favorable HCAHPS results
  • Monitor and evaluate reports consistently, trouble shoot areas of concerns; implement corrective action as needed
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training courses, workshops, or other developmental interventions designed to address training needs of individuals or groups of employees

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with current Florida License required
  • BSN and MSN required
  • Lean experience or Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification preferred
  • 7 years' experience in acute hospital management
  • Knowledge of the implications of measures for HCAHPS results and for CMS guidelines regarding the recording of patient satisfaction results
  • Working knowledge of HCAHPS and other patient experience surveys/metrics
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in patient experience and service excellence relevant to services provided by hospitals, medical staffs, and integrated healthcare systems
  • Ability to plan and manage projects, including assigned personnel, multiple competing project, or resource demands to meet project deadlines on time and within budget
  • Ability to use spreadsheet software to enter, evaluate, and modify data
