:   MetLife Investment Management (MIM) leverages its size, scale and deep asset sector relationships to seek attractive, long-term investment opportunities for our institutional customer base. MIM provides investment management services in asset sectors including, but not limited to, corporate private placements, infrastructure debt, real estate equity, commercial mortgage loans, customized index strategies, structured finance, emerging market debt, and high yield.


Our investment methodology is based on a disciplined in-house credit research and underwriting process which leverages the deep expertise of our seasoned investment teams. Institutional investors can have access to MIM’s in-house investment capabilities, including deal originations, asset acquisition, rigorous portfolio monitoring, proprietary risk analytics and risk management. Our expansive global footprint, with strong capabilities in key markets, makes us well positioned to serve our clients’ investment needs.


Lead a team responsible for the finance, accounting and administration of new and existing funds and managed account structures within the MetLife Investment Management (“MIM”) platform.  Responsibilities include oversight of cash management, accounting and financial reporting activities performed by external Asset Administrator, financial review of new investments, review and approval of client quarterly financial statements and other accounting information, and management of staff.

  • Oversee external administrator financial activities across the MIM platform including review of property and REIT level banking activity, monthly accounting, quarterly and annual financial and investor statements, and capital call and distributions and other cash management activities.
  • Review and approval of NAVs and management fees.
  • Review of new investments including legal documentation to determine financial and accounting implications as well as establish banking and accounting policy and procedures at property manager level.
  • Work closely with Portfolio and Asset Management as well as in house and external tax advisors to ensure REIT compliance, including leasing activities, cash distribution, and reporting to clients and IRS.
  • Oversee activities of external Audit Firms and Tax Advisors, including sign-off and approval of engagements and reps/final approval of financial statements and tax returns.
  • Lead implementation of finance and accounting function for new funds and structures across all products offered by MIM.


  • Minimum of 15 years or more experience in Investments and/or Finance or comparable industry experience 
  • Strong Real Estate background in a leadership/management role, experienced in real estate  equity investments and REIT compliance/management, US GAAP, IFRS, and Tax basis accounting, as well as REIS accounting and other real estate industry standards
  • 10 or more years’ experience in financial/accounting oversight of Investment Management for Open and Closed End Real Estate Funds
  • Experience with Institutional investor needs
  • CPA and/or MBA or comparable degree preferred
  • Strong Communication skills, highly analytical and well organized
