Global Real Estate and Agricultural Investments maintain a portfolio invested in commercial real estate and agricultural mortgages, as well as real estate equities. Real Estate Investments sources and manages commercial real estate investments through seven regional field offices in the U.S. and International field offices in London, Tokyo, Mexico City and Santiago. The Debt Strategies Group Vice President/Portfolio Manager role is a critical-path position for continuing the commercial mortgage loan portfolio’s peer leading performance and aggressive AUM growth goals for the MetLife Investment Management (“MIM”) platform.
This role of Debt Strategies Group (“DSG”) Portfolio Manager (“PM”) and Investment Committee (“IC”) member responsible for jointly managing MetLife’s $50 billion General Account and MetLife Investment Management commercial mortgage loan platform. Responsibilities revolve around active management of a portion of MetLife’s commercial mortgage portfolio through collaboration with the Regional Office organization and central organizational units in order to meet or exceed investment performance objectives, including $14 billion of new loan production and $1.5 billion net investment income. This position is a voting Debt Strategies Group Investment Committee member also designated as primary liaison to oversee the new loan production and portfolio management drivers for 3 Regional Offices. This particular DSG PM also directs the overall portfolio surveillance initiatives, including complex servicing matters, refinances, and loan workout strategies.
