Job Summary

The VP of Fleet Services oversees the acquisition and disposal of the organization's Corporate and North American fleet vehicles. Manages relationships with manufactures, ensuring contract specifications and buyback program guidelines are fulfilled and honored. Develops and integrates new disposal channels, taking advantage of new and emerging market conditions in order to generate a profitable impact on the company's bottom line. .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the acquisition and disposal of the organization's Corporate and North American fleet vehicles.
  • Manages relationships with manufacturers, ensuring contract specifications and buyback program guidelines are fulfilled and honored.
  • Negotiates manufacturer contract terms and buyback programs.
  • Develops and integrates new disposal channels for the profitable benefit of the organization.
  • Oversees the development of metrics and reporting tools related to fleet planning, forecasting, and analysis.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Ensures proper staffing to maximize the effectiveness of the Fleet function. Conducts annual performance appraisals for direct reports, recommends salary increases, provides individual feedback to improve performance, and initiates corrective action in response to personnel problems. Reviews and approves salary increases for indirect reports. Oversees the training of new employees to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the organization's standards.

Qualifications (may vary by level)

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Fleet Operations, with direct exposure to the acquisition and disposal of large fleet volumes is required.
  • Experience in the rental car industry is strongly preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent analytical ability and detail orientation.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Outstanding work ethic and dedication.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.

Travel Requirements

Moderate business travel is required.
