VP, Inclusion and Engagement

As a member of the HR Talent Management team, the VP, Inclusion & Engagement has a tremendous opportunity to shape the diversity, inclusion, and engagement practices that allow everyone at Gartner to achieve their full potential and grow without boundaries.  The VP, Inclusion & Engagement is responsible for establishing key priorities and programs related to diversity and inclusion, engagement, and company culture, and linking them to Gartner’s broader Employee Value Proposition and talent initiatives in a way that embeds them into the fabric of the company.  This person will also serve as the liaison between the Talent Management function and other areas of the company that are working on diversity, inclusion, and engagement-related initiatives (e.g., diversity recruiting, affinity networks, corporate communications and marketing, etc.).

Key responsibilities include:
  • Building a business-focused point of view, strategy, and direction for diversity, inclusion and engagement at Gartner in collaboration with the company’s executive leadership
  • Creating an approach for defining, measuring, and enhancing diversity and inclusion to enrich how we attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent
  • Maintaining alignment among multiple internal and external stakeholder groups (e.g., Recruiting, Legal, Corporate Communications, and associate-driven affinity networks) around all inclusion and engagement initiatives
  • Partnering with affinity network leaders to drive consistent execution in their initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Required – BA/BS
  • Demonstrated experience with aligning diversity and inclusion practices with business priorities to support individual and organizational performance
  • Proven ability to provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership for strategies that support the company’s growth
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills to prioritize efforts
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to drive initiatives to closure
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and negotiating skills and the ability to effectively engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to influence associates at all levels without having direct reporting authority
