POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the VP, Specialty Group BRM, the VP, Consulting - Business Relationship Manager will lead a team that acts as a liaison between Enterprise Information Technology Systems (EITS) and the AmerisourceBergen Consulting operating units. The VP will hire and manage a team that has significant knowledge in subject matters pertaining to both EITS and the business. The team is responsible for understanding the business, assisting in the prioritization of projects, ensuring that projects align with the technology that best provides maximum return on investment, and directing EIT strategy in support of the overall business strategy.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Relationships
  • Takes ownership for stakeholder management at the operating company level of the Consulting Organization.
  • Become a trusted proxy in communicating the IT strategy for IT applications and IT operations to the Business Units through the BRM team
  • Develops influential relationships with Business Partner, key business stakeholders and external partners at senior management level, including industry leaders.
  • Ensures operating company leaders and BRM team are apprised of all pertinent, status, challenges, issues and opportunities relating to EITS
  • Develops and implements a cadence of regular meetings between EITS and Consulting business leaders to review portfolio of services, negotiation, agreement, monitoring, reporting and review of SLA's

Demand Planning/Financial
  • Responsible for the planning and tracking a portfolio in the range of 25m-50m
  • Works with the business to define a portfolio that will meet the business objectives and satisfy agreed upon IT strategies and architectures

Delivery/Execution
  • Owns the engagement model between Consulting and EITS
  • Synthesize complex solutions, that may contain both Provider products/services and Business-related improvements, to meet Consulting business needs.
  • Manages BRM team to lead BU and EITS teams to define solutions to meet stated business requirements
  • Retains oversight of projects vis-à-vis BRM team to ensure delivery against business expectations
  • Work with EITS Service Delivery Domain to ensure service catalog alignment to operating company needs.
  • Maintains detailed awareness of, takes fully into account as necessary, and promotes throughout the organization regulatory requirements
  • Ensures that IT is actively involved in all due diligence work for possible expansion and acquisitions

Leadership/Team Building
  • Leads through influence. Establishes and maintains strong relationships across multiple BU's, disciplines (IT, Finance, Supply, etc.) and multiple cultures
  • Builds, leads and motivates BRM team (and virtual teams) to 'High Performer' standards. Inspires BRM team to meet stretch targets and through personal development and management, grows 'A' player capability and manages out underperformance
Innovation
  • Identifies both incremental and step technology and process improvements that provide business value
  • Informs and sells the benefits to the business of the EITS driven change agenda
  • Encourages change in the business unit and EITS so that the business unit increasingly benefits from the services supplied
  • Evangelize impact of new EIT initiatives (or changes) to the Business and , alternatively, represent and advocate the business perspective within EIT

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Subject matter expertise in both the business and technology
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field preferred
  • Ten years working in an IT across multiple disciplines with managerial experience and significant customer exposure

  • Represent IT in the strategic forums (Operating Committee, Technology Advisory Board) to help develop the consulting operating unit strategy, assisting the leadership teams in the business units in the creation and evolution of that strategy.
