As a senior leader in the McKesson Enterprise
Technology and Services (ETS) organization, this individual will serve as the top
service leader responsible for the core services enabling our employees,
contractors and partners. Services include network, collaboration, productivity
and desktop. To be effective, he/she
will need to operate in a highly collaborative environment to develop and
execute a strategy to improve the effectiveness of the McKesson user population
The successful candidate will possess a broad
technical background and have expertise in contemporary end user technologies
and services. He/she will demonstrate proven business acumen, ensuring our end
user services meet the needs of the organization across multiple dimensions
including security, performance, support, features and cost. He/she must work
well in a collaborative environment, building effective relationships across
the organization and excelling as an influential leader with business unit
technologists and leaders.
Key success characteristics:
- Collaboration and Leadership
– Success requires development of effective collaborative relationships, both
within ETS and across business units and in broader areas of McKesson. This
role will develop and require strong influence leadership skills where value
delivered is the key measure of success.
- Visioning and Innovation – Define and
develop a service and technology vision and strategy focused on the primary
needs of the enterprise, aligned to defined business goals. Services must meet the specific needs of
different user segments and personas across the enterprise. Leader will need to
partner with peers across ETS and McKesson to ensure service strategies meet
- Implementation Execution – Lead
teams of internal and external resource in the execution of annual service and
technology plan. Measure outcomes and validates value creation.
- Delivery of highly effective services
– Accountable for all aspects of User
Experience Services including Network and Network Security, Collaboration,
Productivity and Desktop/Device. Ensure
services are architected and maintained to meet defined service levels.
- Financial Discipline – Manage and drive IT
cost efficiencies, both direct and allocated IT costs.
- 10+ years specific systems experience including 10+ years managerial experience
Additional Knowledge & Skills
years of technology experience
years in leadership roles with increasing scope of responsibilities
years in End User services (Network, telephony, desktop, collaboration)
experience in collaborative and highly influential leadership roles across
business teams building consensus and strategy
experience developing and implementing strategies for new technologies
financial acumen and stewardship
IT experience highly preferred
- 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
