POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Vice President, Product Manager, Financial Analysis is responsible for management and oversight of the analysis and reporting for multiple product wrappers across investment affiliates, which includes existing and new product proposals. This individual will lead multiple recurring and ad hoc efforts that focus on informing Product Strategy and Execution, as well as senior management, of the overall attractiveness of certain products and firms/channel relationships. 
 
Perspective should be provided on both product level and client level profitability, resulting in recommendations that can improve the profitability of the product lines, which may include rationalization through liquidations/mergers, or adjustments to product pricing, share class structuring or incentive compensation.  In addition, the individual will provide oversight and management of the evaluation of revenue sharing and shareholder servicing agreements, including both new and revised agreements.  The individual will manage periodic Board reporting requirements, including 15c and sub t/a payment framework.  

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 

  • Manage analysis on firm, channel, and product level profitability
  • Manage analysis to forecast new product profitability and product attractiveness
  • Manage and provide direction for review of existing products for rationalization opportunities
  • Manage creation of reports to track the cost of maintaining sub-scale products
  • Monitor the product set for revenue/expense opportunities, including share class pricing
  • Manage the gatekeeping function for new agreements and revisions to existing agreements
  • Oversight and management of production of periodic Board reports, including the sub t/a payment framework
  • Manage and oversee creation of reports and analysis of data to meet Product Strategy and Execution’s annual 15c responsibilities
  • Management of firm seed and acceleration capital deployment, harvesting and reporting
  • Management of other ad hoc projects as requested on a periodic basis

 

 



QUALIFICATIONS:

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product finance, business and/or related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university or equivalent work experience;  MBA or CPA preferred
  • Investment Management industry experience required; experience in fund operations and administration preferred

  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize completing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work with individuals and influence teams across the organization
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
