Delivery Driver (Class B required)
JOB SUMMARY: Performs warehousing, shipping, and receiving duties. Drives truck over established route to deliver products to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Receives, unpacks, examines, and documents incoming shipments.
• Process and/or returns damaged goods.
• Moves stock to and from shipping and receiving area to storage area.
• Prepares and routes merchandise for shipment.
• Perform back-up delivery driver duties as required.
• Assists in providing counter sales customer service.
• Releases daily invoices and completes all required hand written and computer generated documentation on a timely and accurate basis.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Works safely and meets the requirements of all safety procedures and rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cleans inside of truck. Performs routine maintenance checks on truck.
• Drives truck to deliver gasses and hard goods to customer's place of business. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Makes deliveries outside of regular route to provide customers with product. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Collects empty cylinders or rejected or unsold merchandise. Loads truck.
• Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years related product and/or sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient with entering data into a computer.
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates and customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percents.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid state CDL required: (Class A or B) with hazardous material and air brake endorsements

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, sit and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and color vision.
