This job is responsible for administering decisions related to Assurant's authorized Service Agreements, protection plans and policies.
As a Warranty Specialist you would be responsible for administering decisions related to Authorized Service Agreements, protection plans and policies. Your communications and interactions with As Service Providers and Customer would include phone calls, emails and other electronic methods of communication. You would be responsible for providing professional, accurate and timely support to internal departments (Auditors, Regional Service Mangers, Service Providers and Management) and to Assurant Service Providers. In this role you would report to a Regional Service Manager and be responsible for ensuring that your interactions with Assurant's Service Providers result in decisions and support which aligns with the Regional Service Managers goals of providing a cost effective, high-quality customer experience. Lastly you will be responsible for building strong relationships with Service Providers, while at the same time holding them accountable to deliver a superior customer experience within the terms of their authorizer service agreement.
Follow standard screens/scripts/procedures to perform tasks
Develop strong relationships with Service Providers
Utilize technical knowledge and information to provide accurate and timely information
Identify specific patterns of Servicer behavior which drive unnecessary costs or impact the customer experience in a negative way and report to management with recommendations on how to address
Review Service Provider repair assessments and estimates to determine cost effectiveness and coverage
Enforce policies and service provider agreements
Provide performance related feedback to Assurant's Service Providers and communicate with internal teams to ensure proper action is taken
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and notes
• 1 + years Customer Service or Vendor Management experience in the Service Industries, to include: major appliances, consumer electronics, HVAC, lawn & garden, plumbing, electrical, fitness or large tools.
• Experience in or more of the service industries, to include: major appliances, consumer electronics, HVAC, lawn & garden, plumbing, electrical, fitness, or large tools.
•Excellent leadership and communication skills
•Ability to multitask
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•Ability to type 30+ words per minute
•2+ years' experience in or more of the service industries, to include: major appliances, consumer electronics, HVAC, lawn & garden, plumbing, electrical, fitness, or large tools.
•Prior warranty claims administration
•Ability to type 40+ words per minute.
