Pay Rate/Salary: $80000-85000 / Year

The Environmental and Water Resources group is looking to build a team focused on water/wastewater/storm water analysis, design and construction services. This position is for a Senior Project Manager/Group Manager responsible for working directly with clients to secure and manage water resources related projects. This position also involves identifying, hiring and managing additional staff resources needed for a successful, high-functioning team.

Desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:

  • Studies, reports, design and construction of water distribution systems, sewage collection, storage facilities, control vaults, pumping stations, booster stations, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater systems, and green infrastructure

  • Familiarity with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling of water distribution, wastewater, stormwater systems

  • Experience with developing and leading a team

  • Experience with securing work with clients

  • Senior Project Management Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing scope, schedule and budget for proposals and contracts.

  • Managing staff, sub consultants and expenses during project implementation.

  • Effectively communicating project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to project team, client and public (memos, reports, presentations, etc.).

  • Anticipating project issues, including advising the client on alternatives and providing recommendations for solving issues.

  • Implementing projects from scoping to completion including overall decision-making and QA/QC.

  • Timely and accurate completion of company and sub-consultant invoices and collections.

  • Business Development and Client Satisfaction.

  • Understanding company services and how they relate to client's organization and needs.

  • Obtaining repeat work from clients, including cross selling of services.

  • Group Manager Responsibilities:

  • Identify necessary staff resources and work with Discipline Director/Geographic in the hiring process

  • Provide coaching and staff development

  • Approve timesheets and staff expenses

  • Perform performance reviews for direct reports

  • Assures that direct reports have the tools and training to effectively perform their job and are appropriately placed based on their strengths

    Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
    �Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
    �PE registration in Ohio and at least 10 years of experience in the field of water resources engineering, continuing education courses in project management and group management are a plus
    �Experience with an Ohio-based civil engineering consulting firm, City of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is a plus
    �Proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite
    �Experience or familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and/or hydraulic and hydrology design programs such as EPA-SWMM, H2O-Map, Infowater, HEC-HMS or HEC-RAS preferred
    �The applicant should possess excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, proven ability to manage people and enjoy working in a team environment.
