Pay Rate/Salary: $80000-85000 / Year
WATER RESOURCES ENGINEERING SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER/GROUP MANAGER - Could be in Brecksville, Cleveland, or Columbus.
The Environmental and Water Resources group is looking to build a team focused on water/wastewater/storm water analysis, design and construction services. This position is for a Senior Project Manager/Group Manager responsible for working directly with clients to secure and manage water resources related projects. This position also involves identifying, hiring and managing additional staff resources needed for a successful, high-functioning team.
Desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:
Familiarity with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling of water distribution, wastewater, stormwater systems
Experience with developing and leading a team
Experience with securing work with clients
Senior Project Management Responsibilities:
Preparing and managing scope, schedule and budget for proposals and contracts.
Managing staff, sub consultants and expenses during project implementation.
Effectively communicating project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to project team, client and public (memos, reports, presentations, etc.).
Anticipating project issues, including advising the client on alternatives and providing recommendations for solving issues.
Implementing projects from scoping to completion including overall decision-making and QA/QC.
Timely and accurate completion of company and sub-consultant invoices and collections.
Business Development and Client Satisfaction.
Understanding company services and how they relate to client's organization and needs.
Obtaining repeat work from clients, including cross selling of services.
Group Manager Responsibilities:
Identify necessary staff resources and work with Discipline Director/Geographic in the hiring process
Provide coaching and staff development
Approve timesheets and staff expenses
Perform performance reviews for direct reports
Assures that direct reports have the tools and training to effectively perform their job and are appropriately placed based on their strengths
Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
�Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
�PE registration in Ohio and at least 10 years of experience in the field of water resources engineering, continuing education courses in project management and group management are a plus
�Experience with an Ohio-based civil engineering consulting firm, City of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is a plus
�Proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite
�Experience or familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and/or hydraulic and hydrology design programs such as EPA-SWMM, H2O-Map, Infowater, HEC-HMS or HEC-RAS preferred
�The applicant should possess excellent communication skills, good organizational skills, proven ability to manage people and enjoy working in a team environment.
