Job Overview:
The Health Transformation Readiness Consultant position is part of the Readiness Assessment Team, identifying key client needs in either a pre or post-sales setting.  The Transformation Readiness consultant explores and understands healthcare organizations transformation activities as related to IBM Watson Health Solutions and works in tight integration with client's performance management and business leadership teams to build strategic roadmaps to meet the client's key objectives related to IBM Watson Solutions and implementation.
 
Essential Functions:
Consult and Lead:
  • Engage client leadership during the pre-sales cycle to learn, understand, and define a client's key transformation objectives
  • Advise clients on best/common practices as it relates to IBM Watson Health solutions
  • Advise clients on roles and workflow
  • Develop Program Charters in collaboration with the solutions team
  • Summarize analysis in reports, spreadsheets and charts; contribute to team solution development and to development of presentation slides
  • Communicate results/recommendations within the project team and to partners and internal clients; participate in/lead project team discussions of the conclusions and direction of analytical work
  • Set the clinical direction of projects
  • Determine goals & priorities w/ team, clients, or project Mgmt sponsors (when appropriate)
  • Coordinate team/project activities & schedules
 
Demonstrate Expertise in IBM Watson Health EPM Solutions:
  • Program frameworks including their measures, registries, attributions, roles, engagement templates, reports, etc. for MSSP and Commercial ACOs, Medicare Advantage, Direct to Employer, and PCMH
  • Healthcare economics and clinical quality
  • Definition language related to attribution, measures, and registries
  • Risk models and reports
 
The ideai candidate will possess:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience addressing clinical and/or health policy issues in health care
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare quality and/or healthcare IT
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Clinical Information Systems including EMRs, registration/scheduling systems, documentation in clinic and hospital settings, revenue cycle, nursing/physician workflows and ancillary systems
  • Knowledge of quality improvement efforts including CMS quality initiatives such as PQRS and Meaningful Use, NCQA Medical Home and HEDIS, and National Quality Forum measures in both ambulatory and inpatient setting
  • Working knowledge in classification systems, clinical vocabularies, and nomenclature, such as ICD-9, CPT, HCPC, LOINC, SNOMED-CT, NDC, and RxNorm.
  • Experience with healthcare financial data
  • Ability to acquire, organize and synthesize quantitative data to identify key findings for business audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in consulting and project management. Must exhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, and results orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
