Detailed Position Responsibilities: You will be responsible for supporting the software development for the next generation of lighting control systems, supporting rapid prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstrations for evaluating the viability of advanced lighting system concepts. You will also be responsible for integration testing including software, firmware and system testing. In addition, you will participate in project teams, and develop presentations, technical notes, instruction manuals and application examples for communicating with internal and external stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities Include: Develop and test web development software for open source Linux based commercial off the shelf (CoTS) single board computers and Develop user interface apps for mobile platforms like iPhone and Android Support technical implantation for prototypes and pilot demonstrations, application features verification and validations of new advanced LED systems Conduct lighting application analyses and simulations to ensure reliable performance We are looking for an aspiring software professional, who is eager to learn, and is passionate, creative, and persistent, who can balance multiple projects and thrive in a team-based dynamic environment. Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in software engineering Web developer with UI skills for writing the applications, which requires strong Angular JS knowledge and could also write a Java plugins Experience in User Interface design for popular native mobile platform application development in both iOS and Android SDK environment Experience with Linux based commercial off the shelf SDK environment Strong preference for ZigBee home automation experience Additional preferred skills in C#, Java, JavaScript, .NET, Python, PHP, HTML, CSS Knowledge of SOAP, WebLogic/WebSphere or other open source Web Services Development Experience in testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies.
