The Winder Transformer repairs, rebuilds, and rewinds small and medium-sized distribution transformers.
As the Winder Transformer, you will:
+ Repair, rebuild, and rewind small and medium-sized distribution transformers
+ Perform miscellaneous operations such as dismantle and clean parts, stack iron, assemble coils, and connect, assemble in tanks, and connect, paint, etc.
+ Help others with more complicated jobs
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience winding AC and/or DC armatures from 5 HP to 1,000 HP
+ Willingness and ability to travel and complete overnight stays
+ Willingness and ability to work various shifts, holidays and weekends
+ Able to read and interpret winding connection drawings
+ Experience winding field coils
+ Self-starter able to work with minimal direction
+ Willingly accepts job challenges
+ Computer skills
+ Ability to work overtime
+ Experience with Health and Safety programs
+ Communication with customer personnel
+ Good mechanical skills
