Ensures proper slicing, handling and packaging of product according to quality and schedule standards.

Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.


# Sets up machinery and makes adjustments to accommodate each product according to standards.

# Ensures correct product coding and/or labeling of each product.

# Ensures that product meets quality and packaging standards prior to shipping.

# Replenishes wrap/packaging supplies as needed.

# Maintains cleanliness of work area.

# Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.

# Performs other duties as directed by supervision.

# Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)

# Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures



MOBILITY - Physical ability to stand for 8-16 hours per day. Ability to read and comprehend to fulfill production orders. Routinely lift 40 lbs of wrap/packaging materials from 12 inches to 3 feet and/or from 6 feet to 3 feet and transport to work area on wheeled cart requiring 18 pounds of force to initiate and 10 pounds of force to continue in motion. Ability to roll wheeled module requiring 25 pounds of force to initiate and 8 pounds to continue in motion. This module must also be pushed up and down slight inclines. Routinely lift ( 50 lbs) of damaged product for disposal.

SENSORY - Hearing and vision sufficient to detect malfunction of equipment. Whenever color coding is used must have color vision enough to distinguish color.

COMMUNICATION - Ability to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc. Ability to read and comprehend production schedules, production standards and accurately record production information.

OTHER - Must meet/maintain Center for Disease Control Food Handling Requirements and other governmental and/or customer requirements. Must have ability to wear/use approved applicable safety equipment.


Six months or more related production experience.


No educational prerequisite; however, must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record necessary information applicable to job.
